Honey Garlic Salmon with Charred Broccolini

Pan-seared salmon in a sticky honey-garlic glaze with broccolini charred until the tips go smoky. Dinner that looks like it took all day (it takes 30).

Let's cook

  1. Pat the salmon dry and season both sides with salt. Whisk together the honey, garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil. Sear the salmon skin-side up first for 3–4 minutes until the edge looks golden.
  3. Flip, add the honey-garlic glaze to the pan (around the fish, not on it), and baste the salmon as it cooks another 2–3 minutes until just set in the middle.
  4. While the salmon rests for a minute, char the broccolini: high heat, olive oil, salt, and patience. Turn often until the tips are deeply browned, about 6–8 minutes.
  5. Plate the broccolini, lay the salmon on top, and spoon over whatever glaze is left in the pan.
