Honey Garlic Salmon with Charred Broccolini
Pan-seared salmon in a sticky honey-garlic glaze with broccolini charred until the tips go smoky. Dinner that looks like it took all day (it takes 30).
Let's cook
- Pat the salmon dry and season both sides with salt. Whisk together the honey, garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil. Sear the salmon skin-side up first for 3–4 minutes until the edge looks golden.
- Flip, add the honey-garlic glaze to the pan (around the fish, not on it), and baste the salmon as it cooks another 2–3 minutes until just set in the middle.
- While the salmon rests for a minute, char the broccolini: high heat, olive oil, salt, and patience. Turn often until the tips are deeply browned, about 6–8 minutes.
- Plate the broccolini, lay the salmon on top, and spoon over whatever glaze is left in the pan.
